I am getting over a variety of strep throat. I've had it since last Wednesday and let me tell you it was not fun. My throat was so swollen and I was so thirsty, I can't even describe it. I still can't keep down much more than liquid but I am getting better thanks to anitbiotics. Bear with me and in a few days I'll be back on top but right now I'm just not up to facing my inbox. Little hands worked meticulously with glue, scissors and paper. Markers added bold colors. Shiny stickers were a compromise as Adam had smartly denied glitter but understood the importance of things being shiny.

A block letter stencil had been requested by the older boy. The younger was proud of his own penmenship. Adam admitted it was very good for a four year old, even if was rather squiggly. By the time they were finished, Chris and Adam both had marker all around their noses from Remus's excitement over the scents of the markers. "Smell!" he would yell and then jab the marker under one their noses. Chris, the good sport he was, had a gold star sticker on his nose from Remus as well, for being an extra wicked brilliant big brother after he cut something out for him.

All three finished their masterpieces just in time to present to Emma as she walked through the door after a long day of work.

Adam stood in the middle with Chris on his left and Remus on his right. In an unplanned unison all three called at once, "We love you mummy!" Remus jumped in her arms, gluey fingers sticking to her back. Adam kissed her cheek and Chris smiled before being ushered to her side for a hug.

Later that night in bed, Emma rolled over to Adam and kissed him affectionately. "I'll never be able to thank you for always handling arts and crafts hour while I'm at work. Seriously." She plucked a sticker from his hair and they fell asleep.

Adam had spent plenty of time in the muggle world before and quite recently a lot of time with pregnant women, namely his own wife. It was time to connect the two. After his lunch hour he had the afternoon off. He went to Mungo's to meet Emma. She was midway through her pregnancy by now and though the thought of her taking her leave had occurred to Adam, he trusted his wife to know when she should stop working.

He grinned when he saw her waiting for him, immediately slipping his hand in hers. He was a little bouncy, the idea of seeing the baby in photographic form was just awesome. Muggle doctors really are amazing to him.

"Ready to go?" he grinned. "Gemma told me again and again that this was one of the most amazing things we'd experience."
